2007 Sea Doo Gti 130 Top Speed
- #1
We had a 97 yamaha waverunner/wave venture 1100 PWC from 99-2005. I sold it and my family got a boat. now we're thinking about getting another pwc and we're looking at the cheaper, yet still fun models. Our old waverunner under the right conditions I could get up to 65 mph and would often win against other much newer models(would LOVE the new yamaha FX SHO), anyways on our list is the seadoo gti with 130hp. I never liked seadoos, but this one is cheap and has alot of features, however i heard the top speed is around 60mph? What gives? this pwc is 10 years newer, with 20 more HP, and more technology and its slower??? Any other models you would recommend that are brand new and under $8,000.... any input would be great!! Thanks!

This is kinda off topic but related..
My '05 GTX (155hp) tops out at about 53 mph on fairly smooth water(210lb. rider). It only revs to about 6300-6500 rpm's at this speed. There is a small nick on one of the impeller blades, but pull's out of the hole and tows great. Do you think a new impeller would help with a little more top end or is that all the rpm's i can expect too see?
The wear ring appears to be in good condition and it has 30 hours total run time on the machine...
Thanks in advance for all the great advise and tips soo far for us NOOB's!!!

"yeah once you start riding it like there is no tomorrow that fuel will disappear like beer!"
That's funny!

Eyes Tearing Up
Guarantee they will if you pop that yellow key on your GTI... 64 indicated on mine with 18 hrs on it. 170lb rider and 1/2 tank of gas. The gas thing has blown me away. I can ride till my hands buzz and and can't burn a tank at a sitting... Works for me. I've got the 180s down pat. Looking to learn some others now. 360s, wake jumps, wheelies, etc., but don't want to tear it or me up. Cheers!
